Getting Started
Set up your KithFlow account and run your first targeting rule.
Getting Started
This guide takes you from a fresh account to your first automated prospecting run in under 10 minutes.
1. Create Your Account
Go to app.kithflow.com and sign up with your email address.
After verifying your email, you will be prompted to create your first Organisation. An organisation is your workspace — it holds all your contacts, sequences, targeting rules, and inbox.
2. Configure Your Email Provider
Before sending any outreach, you need to connect an email provider. KithFlow supports:
- Resend — recommended; set up in 2 minutes with an API key
- SMTP — any provider (Zoho, Google Workspace, SendGrid, Postmark, etc.)
Go to Settings → Email Provider to configure this. See the Email Setup guide for full instructions.
3. Generate Your API Key
If you plan to use the MCP server or build integrations, generate an API key now.
- Go to Settings → API Keys
- Click Create Key
- Give it a name (e.g.
claude-agent) and copy the key — it is only shown once
The API key authenticates your organisation to the MCP server and any direct API calls.
4. Create Your First Targeting Rule
The Intent Engine is the heart of KithFlow. A targeting rule defines:
- Keywords — what kind of business to find (e.g.
IT support, digital agency) - Location — city, region, or country
- Data sources — Google Maps, People Data Labs, or both
- Max prospects per run — how many new prospects to add each cycle (1–100)
- Sequence — which email sequence to auto-enroll new prospects into (optional)
To create a rule:
- Go to Intent Engine in the left nav
- Click Create Rule
- Fill in your keywords and location
- Choose a run cadence: Every 6 hours, Daily, or Weekly
- Optionally select a sequence for auto-enrollment
- Click Save — the rule is now active
Run it manually:
After saving, click Run Now to trigger an immediate run. Check back in a few minutes — new prospects will appear in your Prospects page with emails and icebreakers pre-generated.
Tip: Start with a narrow targeting rule (specific location + one keyword + cap of 10) to validate quality before scaling up.
5. Enroll a Prospect in a Sequence
Once you have prospects:
- Go to Prospects
- Find a prospect with a valid email (shown as a green tick)
- Click the ⋯ menu → Enroll in Sequence
- Choose a sequence and click Enroll
The sequence will start sending on its configured schedule.
6. Check Your Inbox
As replies come in, they appear in the Inbox page sorted into three lanes:
- Hot Leads — genuine interest; Claude drafts a Calendly reply for one-click approval
- OOO Queue — out-of-office replies; enrollment paused until the return date
- Unsubscribes — opt-outs; enrollment cancelled automatically
